This can change in the future if Dell can't keep the product good. ![]() Other than that, FortiGate would probably be my choice if I wasn't using Sonicwall at the moment. Maybe true against the old TZ 205 but the new TZ400 seems to be a more direct comparison against 70D price wise, and the TZ400 outperforms it. The 70D is in the same price range as the TZ-205, and will out-perform all day long. Get rid of Sonicwall's and get some Fortigate's. I did not get to test speed in any meaningful way. The Dell marketing slides were showing the TZ 300 hitting about 92Mbps on a 100Mpbs connection with all the protections enabled. The bottom two TZ models never did have application inspection and that is one of the reasons I would never install a TZ100 or TZ200 anywhere. So many of their acquisitions seem to have fallen by the wayside over the past few years. I really hope Dell doesn't kill off or screw up the Sonicwall line. I have 200Mbps cable modem from Time Warner but had to turn off every single setting on the TZ215 to get it to crank out more than 90Mbps. ![]() I've got a TZ215 that I use at home and I had the same problem. I've been having a lot of issues with small clients or home users we have to support (read CEO's and CFO's) who need $1200 routers to support their 100Mbps or 300Mbps cable modems at home. I'm looking forward to playing with these new firewalls.
